The ReplayTV PVR allows users to scroll through a familiar looking 12-day
channel guide to find shows of interest. It also provides
sophisticated search capabilities such as the ability to search for programs
by actor.
ReplayTV can either record only new episodes of a show or all episodes
(i.e. repeat episodes). It also allows users to initiate a recording
via the Internet. This feature is useful, for example, should you
forget to program your DVR before heading off to work.
Built-in home networking capabilities allow
multiple ReplayTV DVRs to be linked together. This permits a show that
is recorded on one PVR to be viewed on a TV connected to another PVR in
another room.
